Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for procurement and management of products and services to fulfill clients' needs to ensure satisfaction. This includes providing strategic efforts and processes for implementation, as well as obtaining quotes from various vendors on behalf of the company for lower dollar volume products and/or services.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide strategic efforts and processes in order achieve savings for the client.
  • Obtain and provide pricing for the procurement of the best products/services as requested.
  • Track vendors to ensure goods/services are received in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Terms and Conditions, i.e., hourly rates, freight charges, material markup, etc. are documented and part of the file.
  • Following audit guidelines, input purchase order information into the BOND (Buy On Demand System) database.
  • Upon completion of the terms of the purchase order or orders.
  • Oversee contracts and projects ensuring the terms and conditions are met according to audit guidelines.
  • Provide information and assistance to management as requests.
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
  • Minimum 2 years related work experience in the field or related area
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Customer oriented and ability to be flexible with the needs of internal clients and the company
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications
  • May perform other duties as assigned
