If you are an Engineeringprofessional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in ourSt. Louis, MOlocation, you willsupport motor and related product development and lead the release of documentation, product improvements, and cost reduction implementation along with performing basic mechanical design, drafting, and modeling.
AS A PRODUCT ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
  • Develop new models from concept to production including design, validation and launch documentation
  • Assist in the managing and tracking of projects using project management tools including project timing and cost
  • Lead the release of product documentation and implement needed product documentation changes through writing Engineering Change Orders
  • Develop and verify cost reduction ideas and track them to ensure timely completion
  • Complete Engineering Change Orders by updating drawings and bills of material
  • Work with manufacturing to understand and develop manufacturing processes to improve quality, cost, or product performance
  • Perform mechanical design, modeling, and create prints for test fixturing
  • Track and report status of projects to management

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelors degree of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related plus three (3)years of product design and manufacturing experience, preferably motor related products
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles, drafting and modeling software, ERP systems
  • Good problem solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Five (5)+years of product design and manufacturing experience, preferably motor related products
