Essential Responsibilities:
Resideo Air business is currently seeking an experienced Product Manager to manage the thermostats and controller portfolio. Offering scope will evolve into developing solution sets that includes software services, value added offerings, business model evolution and end-to-end customer experience management.

The Product Manager - Thermostatswill report to the Sr. Global Product Line Manager and will provide input in all aspects of product lifecycle management for the business. This includes the following: develop, manage, and implement product/customer and marketing strategies and programs, new product development and introduction (NPI), value propositions, pricing, standard work, commercial launches, etc. Key performance metrics of the Product Manager - Thermostats include (but not limited to) revenue growth, standard gross margin and EBITDA.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver AOP and Roadmaps for the Thermostats and Controller product family
  • Product Planning and Strategy
    • Conduct voice of the customer (VOC), primary/secondary/observational research to facilitate development of product plans and identification of new products.
    • Support in developing long term product strategies/road maps for our product portfolio.
  • Product Performance
    • Support marketing related activities and champion cross-functional activities to maximize overall product line performance including revenue growth, margin improvement, cost reduction, quality and delivery.
    • Implement the product strategies and plans for the portfolio and coordinate necessary cross-functional activities.
    • Manage product cost, price, quality, delivery, profitability and data integrity for the portfolio.
  • Product Lifecycle Management
    • Develop and quantify strong value propositions for the portfolio to clearly articulate differentiation to customers, channel partners and the sales team.
    • Participate in cross-functional New Product Development and introduction (NPI) teams. Support marketing aspects associated with the product definition, product development, pricing, market introduction, sales tools and promotion plans.
    • Understand pricing tool kit and analytical techniques; Understand pricing waterfall tool; execute waterfall analysis and drive to actions with financial results.
    • Work with finance and sales to develop a product forecast for all new products.
    • Provide product-focused forecasting to support our Sales, Inventory & Operations (SIOP) process.
    • Assist in developing the positioning strategy for the portfolio considering price, volume, market share and profitability.
    • Monitor and assess competitive products and programs; adjust strategy as necessary.
    • Evaluate portfolio for product obsolescence, re-positioning, etc.
    • Identify and drive process improvement within the product management function.
  • Marketing Communication Tools
    • Support in the development of appropriate marketing plans to ensure we clearly articulate our value proposition to customers, channel partners and sales.
    • Support in the development of collateral as appropriate; web content, launch kits, competitive alerts, sales communications, application notes, etc.
  • Training
    • Support in the development of content for customer, partner or internal product training sessions.
  • Sales Support Tools
    • Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for the portfolio. Develop tools to help customers with their buying decisions, such as:
      • Product application review
      • Competitive assessments
      • Sales Presentation
      • Education content (white papers, videos, etc.)
      • ROI/Value calculators
      • FAQs
      • Customer success stories
  • Travel up to 25%

YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management

WE VALUE:
  • HVAC experience
  • MBA is desired.
  • 3+ plus years of Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development or related experience.
  • Experience interacting with both internal and external customers.
  • Experience in working in a matrix organization; ability to lead courageously and drive cross-functional teams to success in challenging situation, ability to influence at all levels in the organization, work well with others and inspire trust and open communication, and have excellent communication skills,
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and draw meaningful and accurate conclusions from data.
  • Ability to conduct financial analyses, develop financial models and interpret P&L statements. Develop strategies and tactical plan to improve specific items on P&L statements
  • The successful candidate will be expected to be a high-energy, creative and resourceful self-starter.
