eGov partners and supports the US Treasury's mission to expand the use of digital transactions across the Federal Government. The group provides strategic-level leadership, industry knowledge and innovative thinking to assist with Treasury's end goal of all-electronic payments and disbursements.

Position Summary


We are seeking a product strategist to lead our Strategy and Innovation Team. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for identifying, quantifying, and solving real world problems leveraging innovative digital solutions and translating opportunities into strategies to support US Treasury's mission.

The Strategy and Innovation Team team is responsible for driving digital innovation by discovering, incubating and managing emerging products and features to achieve established Treasury goals. We strive to emphasize innovation and customer experience.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Establishes team vision, mission, goals and objectives.
  • Leads the team through strategy projects and research & development activities.
  • End-to-end ownership of innovation and ideation processes.
  • Provides consulting and performs evaluations and analysis for the U.S. Treasury's digital transactions strategy.
  • Conducts product development research, leads workgroups and manages relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Obtains and shares knowledge within the FRBC and U.S. Treasury on Financial technology trends, innovations and best practices.
  • Establishes and effectively manages relationships with key partners in the digital payments space and Financial technology players.
  • Develops presentations, webinars and white papers for the delivery of recommendations and analysis to senior leadership within the FRBC and U.S. Treasury.
  • Identifies and develops process improvements to streamline program-wide operations.
  • Collaborates with product management across business lines to implement new solutions.
  • Develops resource plans and staffing assignments.
  • Oversees, and is responsible for, the completion of all tasks, budgets, and timeframes required to successfully support defined Treasury and Bank goals and objectives.
  • Sets goals, develops plans, monitors progress, and effectively communicates status on a routine and/or as needed basis to business stakeholders and executives.
  • Coordinates with team and is accountable to resolve all issues within required timeframes and recommends appropriate changes to process and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Bank and Treasury stakeholders to ensure compliance with all initiatives and public-facing outreach.
  • Exhibits and supports a culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provides oversight of staff including performance management, career development and coaching.
  • Participates on committees/task forces to advance functional initiatives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Adheres to the Bank`s attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor`s degree

  • Mi nimum 5+ years of related work experience which may include 1+ years of previous lead or supervisory responsibilities.

    Physical Demands and General Working Conditions

    • Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
