Job Description:
The Production Supervisor performs duties to continuously improve manufacturing activities and meet established goals for the immediate areas of responsibility. This position operates in a dynamic environment and will supervise personnel responsible for overhaul production testing .The Production Supervisor assigns work, provides coaching and mentoring to employees, and resolves personnel issues. In addition, they administer the Company Standards of Employee Conduct, Attendance Policy, This position requires strong compliance to these established policies and consistent application of them. The Production Supervisor is responsible for removing obstacles that inhibit production, as well as coordinating with Facilities and Maintenance to ensure a safe and productive work environment.This rolerequires independent judgment and problem-solving of a technical nature, as well as ongoing planning, prioritization, coordination and follow-up to maintain established schedule and capacity utilization. In addition, this individual will be required to give presentations, facilitate meetings, and work to gain consensus from diverse teams. Priorities are the safety of personnel, ensuring delivery of quality products to internal and external customers, schedule execution, employee development, process improvements, team building, and cost management/reduction. The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with shop floor personnel, other supervisors, and supporting departments (materials, engineering, facilities, maintenance, etc.). They will be self-driven and able to balance multiple concurrent tasks and project work while keeping multiple levels of the organization informed on their decisions and progress. They will beseeking an operations leadership opportunity, find enjoyment in the daily challenges of manufacturing, have a critical eye for safety, a commitment to teamwork, an unwavering duty to the customer, a strong sense of urgency, and a willingness to learn.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing environment and an understanding of the Company policies and procedures
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficient Computer Skills.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills.
  • Willing and able to field off-duty calls during evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid product knowledge related to the business.
  • Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of BaaN for reviewing time reporting, production order status, material status, and inventory monitoring.
  • Strong relationship building skills and focus on employee development
  • This position requires excellent communication (oral and written) to multiple levels within the organization, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • A strong sense of integrity and the ability to execute with little direction is required.
  • Willingness to learn new software, processes, and skills with positive energy.
  • Willing to take initiative to improve processes, lead teams, and drive results.
  • Resolve complex problems and make sound decisions.
  • Work independently and contribute to team efforts.
