Project Analyst

Primary location: San Francisco, Los Angeles or Salt Lake City

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has an exciting opportunity for a Project Analyst in the Police Services Support Office. In this role, the Project Analyst is responsible for performing administrative and analytical tasks of basic to moderately complex nature in support of a variety of interesting programs and projects for the Police Services Group. This includes administering our compliance management program, business continuity plan, explosives-detection canine program, executive protection program, policies and procedures, and more. The successful candidate is a highly collaborative, team-oriented individual with strong analytical, administrative, project management, communication, and presentation skills.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify administrative program documentation is complete, consistent, and electronically stored correctly. Provide feedback and coaching to program stakeholders on addressing documentation concerns. Escalate high-risk or noncompliant matters to the Leadership Team.
  • Develop and maintain simple to complex analytical tools, including program management status and outcome documents, including topics such as accomplishments, activities, budget expenses, and needs. Conduct presentations to all levels of the organization about program activities.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain compliance guides and other resources to promote consistent application of requirements set forth in the Police Operations Policies and Procedures (POPP) and office-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assess, develop, and implement training tools for Operations staff on controls, policy compliance, and risk management.
  • Collaborate through proactive communications with stakeholders to include scheduling meetings, effective emails, and other approaches to meet goals and objectives.
  • Assist with the annual peer review process. Review and update compliance checklists, ensure team leads have the resources needed, compile, and analyze peer review results. Throughout the annual process, evaluate risks and controls while formulating recommendations and solutions to meet business needs and build upon success for the following year.
  • Assist with maintenance of the Police Operations Policies and Procedures (POPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and the Group's Business Continuity Plan.
  • Lead or complete project and work activities, to include potentially workgroups, in accordance with defined business unit standards and delivered according to established deadlines. This includes developing and updating project/program plans and other documentation, identifying project/program tasks, tracking project/program milestones, providing status updates to the Leadership Team.
  • Participate and interact effectively with team members to compile data, forecast expenses, provide recommendations, prepare cost benefit analysis for programs, and monitor project/program related contracts.
  • Provide backup support for other administrative and analyst positions within the Group.
  • Provide efficient and high quality customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years, at the analyst level or higher, of relevant project and/or program management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Effective project planning, time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced project metrics, reporting and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing tasks, and meet tight deadlines while completing ongoing work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct effective and efficient meetings and deliver formal presentations.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a cohesive team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Familiarity with SharePoint is beneficial.

Preferred:

  • Project Management or Program Management professional certification
