Who we want (Requirements)

  • Associate degree and two (2) years of experience in accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four years
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, software and e-mail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Physically present in the Lexington office.

What we expect (Essential Functions)

  • Assign and set-up construction project numbers and appropriate cost codes, with communication to appropriate team members
  • Review as-sold report for completeness and enter budget set-up into accounting system
  • Train team members on various aspects of cost accounting system, including cost reports, change requests, owner change orders and commitment change orders
  • Audit contract documents for internal control purposes
  • Analyze specific project financial projections for completeness and accuracy while working with project and design managers to properly project the financial position of projects
  • Prepare projects for close-out including review of commitments, cost, and contract values
  • Coordinate subcontractor prequalification enrollment and review needed segments
  • Provide support for job cost audits and project-specific cost reporting requirements
  • Manage post-project grading system of subcontractors by working with various members of project teams
