BASIC PURPOSE:


Responsible and accountable for research, analysis, development and project management of directorate processes related to opportunities and projects for products proposed for or listed on the Federal Procurement List (PL) of the AbilityOne Program. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating activities in support of PL actions. Perform database management for opportunities, projects and an accurate business development pipeline. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing assistance, advice, and subject matter expertise to affiliated nonprofit agencies (NPAs), SourceAmerica staff, and Federal customers.



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Coordinate and facilitate activities in support of new opportunities and projects for items on the PL. Initiate submission of required forms to obtain the US AbilityOne Commission's determination. Serve as project lead for opportunities and existing PL projects by monitoring status of open actions and managing resources to ensure adherence to project timelines. Ensure accurate and timely processing of actions to the US AbilityOne Commission.

  • Conduct research for opportunities, obtain documentation in support of PL suitability recommendations.

  • Manage and provide project management for the products pipeline. Coordinate with SourceAmerica responsible staff members to ensure an accurate pipeline.

  • Coordinate and facilitate activities in support of new additions and administrative additions to the AbilityOne Procurement List. Serve as project lead by monitoring status of open actions, and managing resources to ensure adherence to project timelines.

  • Review and provide assistance on the development and modification of new and existing procedures, processes and reporting mechanisms. Conduct research and analysis as required.

  • Serve as a reviewer of PLIMS packages to ensure accuracy of actions submitted to the Commission.

  • As appropriate, participate on cross functional teams for process improvement and other special projects.

  • Other duties as assigned


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:


  • Proven ability to perform in a team environment and excel in a results-oriented, collaborative mode.

  • Requires strong interpersonal; organizational; decision making; problem solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, complex actions; and to work effectively with various levels of government and NPA management and staff.

  • Self-starter with confidence to build and maintain successful relationships with key customers and business partners.

  • Ability to research, analyze and develop recommendations.

  • Personal computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications and databases.

  • Experience in research techniques required.

  • Demonstrated success in negotiation and customer service.

  • Knowledge of Federal procurement procedures, regulations and the AbilityOne Program.
