If you are a Manufacturing Engineerprofessional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in ourShakopee, MNlocation, you will launch new products and processes into the Rosemount Process Level, Flame and GasProduction Lines. In addition, daily manufacturing support will include working with all levels of the organization from the operators to design team.
AS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
  • Applytechnical expertise, commensurate with formal training and limited job experience, in the development of products and/or processes.
  • Work involves choosing between alternative proven technologies with some originality and moderate technical risk.
  • Designand/or developmanufacturing processes and equipment. Recommenddesign changes to reduce costs, improve quality and increase product performance.
  • Solveproduction problems and leaddiscrepant material reviews.
  • Participatein plant layout activities.
  • Interacton a regular basis with other functional groups and customers or vendors on technical and/or administrative matters.
  • Workwith Production, Production Control, Quality and other engineering departments.
  • Preparedetailed plans, generally spanning several months, necessary to complete assigned projects. Developand approves schedule milestones.
  • Developand coordinates equipment requirements for assigned projects.
  • Administertechnical procedures including process and work procedures.
  • Initiateand implementengineering change authorizations. Cost estimating and reporting system.
  • Helpidentify and prioritize opportunities.
  • Participateand may lead lean and six sigma improvement teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school.
  • Two (2) or moreyears of relevantexperience

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • ABET-accredited engineering degree
  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience
