Primary Purpose

The other is under Primary Purposeheading: The Producer, Creative Services is responsible for writing, producing andeditingon-air promotions, sizzle reels, andpresentation materials, for the daily lifestyle entertainment television showThe List.

Key Activities

  • Conceptualize, write and edit on-air promotional spots for The List programming, web and special projects using multiple platforms.

  • Works closely with reporters and management staff on story development and promotional script ideas.

  • Ability to pitch new ideas for generic, episodic, in-show tease and other presentation materials.

  • Deliver assignments on time, under high pressure and daily deadlines.

  • Organize promotion projects.

  • Interact with and respond to social media audiences.

  • Analyze rundowns to coordinate the best on-air, social and digital marketing materials.

  • Provide analysis for digital audience engagement and review.

  • Track monthly analytics on all current social/digital platforms. Provide ways to optimize platform growth.

  • Work closely with the team on story development and promotionalopportunities.

  • Work closely with affiliates to support programming on air and online.

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some overtime.

  • Perform other duties as needed by management

Education & Experience/Certifications

  • High School diploma (or GED) required.Bachelor'sdegree preferred.

  • 1 - 3 yearsofexperience of writing or editing in local broadcast preferred.

  • Minimum (2) years of professional broadcasting marketing/promotions/creative services experiences required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of social media maintenance

  • Non-linear editing, preferably Final Cut Pro X.

  • WorkingknowledgeofiNEWSsystem for content creation and distribution.

  • Experience directing voice-over and on-camera talent preferred.

  • Keen sense for music selection and editing music tracks that drive promotional spots.

  • Possessstrong communication, grammar and punctuation skills.

  • Understanding of Nielsen rating sheets.

  • Working knowledge of the current creative suite for product development.

  • Superb attention to detail, time management skills, and strong communication skills.

  • Knowledge of post-production television editing suites, with emphasis on Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Experience working with cameras, audio and lighting equipment.

  • Working knowledge of MACand PCsystems,including Excel and Microsoft Word.

Work Environment

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required. In addition, proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with scheduling software is a plus.

  • A self-starter who takes direction well.
