Job Duties

Receiving

• Receipt inspection of incoming material and vendor fabricated components to verify compliance with purchase order requirements.
• Review Material Test Reports
• Material identification and marking.
• Documentation of receipt inspection.

  Fabrication In-process and Final Inspection

• Material Verification.
• Weld joint preparation and fit-up inspection.
• Dimensional verifications.
• Visual weld inspection.
• Hardness testing.
• PMI Testing (Positive Material Identification)
• Coatings appearance and DFT inspection (paint and galvanizing)
• Assembly inspection
• Mechanical Testing (airflow, balancing, hydrostatic, etc.)
• Nondestructive Testing (MT, PT, LT)
• Final inspection of product prior to shipping

Quality Assurance

• Document and verify correction of nonconforming conditions.
• Document inspection and testing activities in accordance with established procedures.

  Welding Program

• Oversee / Witness PQR Testing
• Oversee / Witness Welder Qualification Testing
• Maintain Welder Continuity Log

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED

• Associates degree in a technical field with a minimum of 2 years QC inspection experience in an
• ASME manufacturing environment preferred; or
• A minimum of 5 years QC inspection experience in an ASME manufacturing environment; or a comparable level or education and experience in a related technical field (subject to QA management review).
• Formal training, experience, or certification in welding or weld inspection required. Current or previous certification in the following Nondestructive Testing methods: PT Liquid Penetrant Testing; MT Magnetic Particle Testing; LT Leak Testing (Bubble Test)
