General Information

This position supports the Fort Mill 1 location in Fort Mill, SC.

Your Key Responsibilities

Ensure conformance of in-process components and final product to print specifications and perform product/process audits. Lead quality team members on respective shift including but not limited to scheduling, training and product quality decisions. Additional technical responsibilities include Control of Quality, Technical Analysis, PPAP Coordination and maintaining of the quality labs. Assist in the problem-solving activities to detect and prevent product nonconformance.

    • Assists Group Leader and Segment Leader with resolution of customer issues: assists with containment, leads problem solving teams, performs/coordinates analysis of defects to include product measurement, gage set-up, and record reviews.
    • Assists with set-up of floor and lab gauges.
    • Assist to help reduce scrap in all areas of FM1.
    • Assist in making sure that any product on HOLD is managed and addressed in a timely manner.
    • Assist in preparation for any internal/external audits.
    • Know how to properly follow reaction plans when suspect or non-conforming material identified. Properly contain suspect product with correct tags and complete the SAP transactions
    • Understand how to follow a production control plan and properly complete measurements
    • Be efficient on all measurement equipment in the labs.

Basic Qualifications

    • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education
    • 1+ years of direct or related experience
    • Familiar with quality system policies and procedures.
    • Planning and Control Plans
    • Must be able to read and interpret blue prints as well as familiar with geometric characteristics and symbols.
    • Proficient in a wide variety of gauging techniques including standard measuring equipment: CMM, form-measuring equipment, surface finish analysis.
    • Understands proper set-up and mastering of this equipment.
    • Moderate Computer skills and knowledge. (Especially Excel and Word, some Access)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with miniTAB and or QS-STAT helpful, but not required
