**Job Description:**



Bank of America is looking for a Quantitative Finance Analyst to join the Enterprise Risk Analytics (ERA) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Model Development team within Global Risk Analytics. As one of the worlds largest financial institutions, Bank of America plays a vital role in creating a financial system that is transparent and safe from criminals and terrorists. ERA provides quantitative capabilities supporting Global Financial Crimes Compliance in the banks strategic efforts to counter money laundering and terrorist financing and comply with economic sanctions related requirements.



ERA maintains a portfolio of models used by the banks automated anti-money laundering detection and monitoring platform. The team also performs annual performance assessments on other analytical tools and systems used by teams across Global Financial Crimes Compliance. As part of ERA, the candidate will be responsible for model development, enhancement, implementation, backtesting, production, ongoing monitoring, periodic review, reporting, and documentation. In addition, as a senior analyst, the candidate will also provide thought leadership and hands-on expertise in methodology development, process improvements, stakeholder engagement, and peer coaching.



Responsibilities Include:



The candidate will have the opportunity to learn the latest development in AML scenarios and models, interact with industry leading subject matter experts, apply an extensive set of quantitative methods to meet business/risk management and regulatory requirements, and develop a career in this fast-paced and ever-changing world. This role demands a highly diverse skillset, including quantitative, analytical, organizational, communication, and technology capabilities.



Required Skills:



+ Masters degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or relevant field is required

+ Candidate should possess 2 - 3 years of experience working in model development, data analytics, or quantitative research

+ Strong quantitative background with at least Masters in Statistics, Mathematics or a related field

+ Strong programming skills in SAS, SQL, Python, and/or Latex

+ Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills

+ Proven knowledge of predictive modeling, statistical sampling, optimization, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques

+ Ability to transform business requirements into quantitative models and advise management on use of proper quantitative methods

+ Ability to effectively communicate quantitative topics with non-technical audiences



Desired Skills:



+ Experience in development of AML scenarios, typologies, and processes

+ Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques
