**Job Description:**

Responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics and modeling projects. Responsible for developing new models, analytic processes or systems approaches. Creates documentation for all activities and works with Technology staff in design of any system to run models developed. Incumbents possess excellent quantitative/analytic skills and a broad knowledge of financial markets and products.

Bank of America is looking for a Quantitative Finance Analyst to join the Financial Crimes Analytics (FCA) team within Enterprise Risk Analytics. As one of the worlds largest financial institutions, Bank of America plays a vital role in creating a financial system that is transparent and safe from criminals and terrorists. FCA provides quantitative capabilities supporting Global Financial Crimes Compliance in the banks strategic efforts to counter money laundering and terrorist financing and comply with economic sanctions related requirements.

FCA maintains a portfolio of models used by the banks automated anti-money laundering detection and monitoring platform. The team also performs annual performance assessments on other analytical tools and systems used by teams across Global Financial Crimes Compliance. As part of FCA, the candidate will be responsible for model development, enhancement, implementation, backtesting, production, ongoing monitoring, periodic review, reporting, and documentation.

The candidate will have the opportunity to learn the latest development in AML/Economic Sanctions, interact with industry leading subject matter experts, apply an extensive set of quantitative methods to meet business/risk management/regulatory requirements, and develop a career in this fast-paced and ever-changing world. This role demands a highly diverse skillset, including quantitative, analytical, organizational, communication, and technology capabilities.

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience working in model development, data analytics, or quantitative research

Strong quantitative background with at least Masters in Statistics, Mathematics or a related field

Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills

Strong programming skills in SAS, SQL, Python, and Latex

Ability to effectively communicate quantitative topics with non-technical audiences

Ability to transform business requirements into quantitative models and advise management on use of proper quantitative methods

Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet timelines

Proven knowledge of advanced statistics including predictive modeling, statistical sampling, and optimization.

Desired Skills:

Experience with AML scenarios, typologies, and processes

Experience with Economic Sanctions filters, tools, and processes

Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques
