**Job Description:**



Responsible for developing, influencing and implementing strategic recommendations to support future-state consumer and small business credit management practices and techniques. This will require knowledge of consumer and small business loan underwriting/credit approval processes, industry practices and trends including innovations in customer data collection, data management, analytical and automation tools (e.g. machine learning, artificial intelligence, and using business intelligence tools). The selected candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively deliver strategic recommendations to executive management, will need to demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize across multiple initiatives, and must effectively navigate across the enterprise to ensure ideas are properly vetted among stakeholders.



**Job Responsibilities:**



Develop and implement future state credit risk management processes for consumer and small business credit products, with focus on data connectivity and automation, real-time credit approval and analytics, and evaluation of alternative data sources for use across credit risk management processes



Assess and develop proof-of-concept automation opportunities that leverage business intelligence visualization tools, machine learning and artificial intelligence applications and provide implementation support, where applicable



Produce Risk Management point-of-view presentations and white paper documentation supporting future-state credit risk management practices and techniques



Evaluate industry practices, trends and innovations related to consumer and small business credit risk management, assess applicability and impact to the Bank of America credit risk business model, and formulate recommendations for potential changes



Partner with Front Line Unit teams and Control Partners in evaluation of transformational initiatives related to credit approval/underwriting and portfolio monitoring



**Required Skills and Experience:**



+ 2-5 years of experience in financial services industry with focus on consumer and/or small business lending

+ Bachelors or Master's degree preferred with major/concentration in finance, statistics, or other quantitative discipline

+ Strong management, organization, and leadership skills

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Understanding of Risk Management practices and policies

+ Ability to interface confidently across all levels of management with both business and support partners

+ Regular use of discretion and independent, sound judgment

+ Must be industrious, self-directed and intellectually curious



One of more of the following:



+ Working knowledge or various business intelligence visualization (e.g. Tableau/Microstrategy), Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence tools

+ Statistical or other quantitative skills

+ Knowledge of customer data sources including consumer credit bureau and other third-party data aggregators

+ Database and programming background(SAS, SQL, R, Python)

+ Experience in a consumer and small business credit approval or underwriting role



_Enterprise Role Overview_



_Responsible for performing more complex analysis and is engaged in the development of modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Provides analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports for Senior mgt. Reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. May participate in or develop more complex program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning credit score cutoffs, loss trends, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Will participate in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment. Programming experience such as SAS, SQL or Micro Strategy and Master's Degree or large data experience preferred. 2-5 year experience_ _._
