Description

Intertek is searching for a Recruiter join our Arlington Heights location, supporting our Building and Construction business line. This is an exciting opportunity to join a quality-driven team in a fast-paced environment, supporting our Total Quality Assurance vision.

At Intertek, the key responsibilities of the Recruiter position include posting requisitions, screening candidates against qualifications, coordinating offers to selected candidates, and providing support for candidates during the pre-hire process. In addition, the Recruiter will work with their business managers to proactively search for potential candidates, contact passive candidates, and build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business Hiring Managers (HMs) and the HR/Talent Acquisition Team as needed
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the business and its recruitment needs; acquire substantial knowledge about the business objectives, goals, operations and work culture
  • Execute recruitment plan by aggressively recruiting for well-qualified and diverse candidates from a variety of sources, and engaging in the selection process including screening/assessing candidates, interviewing, and recommending finalists to help fulfil the staffing needs within defined behavior and performance criteria
  • Craft and send recruiting emails, and place cold calls to sourced potential candidates
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to determine position requirements
  • Identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques
  • Develop talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Research, source, reach out to and interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks (i.e. LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Track and measure conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who become applicants, are interviewed, receive offers, and are hired
  • Network through asking for referrals from current employees and external potential candidates
  • Maintain candidate database (i.e. ATS) for assigned employee requisitions/roles
  • Connect with and communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities
  • Ensure Companys Recruitment Process is followed, and that the business is in compliance with OFCCP regulations and related processes
  • Special project work, as assigned
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or other related field (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or other related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of related recruiting experience ( scientist, laboratory, or engineering preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (i.e. recruiting on social platforms and crafting search strings)
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Taleo or Kenexa Brassring
  • Ability to positively present our Company and open roles to potential candidates
  • Business acumen/competence: sufficient understanding of the building and construction industry
  • Experience working within team setting to meet goals and objectives
  • Strong experience supporting diversity recruitment efforts
  • Ability to relate well to people and work in cooperation with others to effectively coordinate activities in order to accomplish tasks
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Technical skills related to the Recruiter role; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results.
