Intertek is searching for a Recruiting Manager to lead the US Talent Acquisition team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of recruitment professionals that support our Total Quality Assurance vision.

The Recruiting Manager position is responsible for the overall talent acquisition function within the US, overseeing a team of 9 individual contributors. Key responsibilities will include implementing diverse initiatives, developing recruitment strategies for all of the business lines, including supervision of the Recruiting staff.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute a variety of recruitment strategies based on business needs
  • Oversee the full cycle for Recruitment and Hiring, including: Aggressively recruit for qualified candidates from a variety of sources, manage selection process (assessing and screening candidates, interviewing and recommending finalists)
  • Manage a team of Recruiters, Talent Acquisition Specialist, and Recruitment Analyst through day-to-day tasks and special projects
  • Partner with HR Director, Regional HR Managers, and Hiring Managers in comprehensive recruitment and staffing issues, policies, processes, interviewing techniques
  • Ensure a consistent corporate and HR department image by staying soliciting feedback from internal clients, and escalating issues to the HR Director as nesecessary
  • Promote Intertek at a variety of recruitment functions such as job fairs, university and college career days, and career events targeted for special populations.
  • Collect and analyze applicant data on demographics and hiring activity for use in designing recruitment strategy
  • Create, implement, and manage formal college recruiting program across the US
  • Contact associations, industry specific groups, affinity groups, community job placement services, private staffing agencies and colleges to identify prospective job candidates for key positions
  • Manage all recruiting related vendor contracts and acts as the primary point of contact for all aspects of the relationship, including negotiation, strategy, and key decision making
  • Work with Intertek's Diversity Specialist to provide appropriate data related to OFCCP reporting requirements (including applicant data tracking, placement goal components of the AAP plan, and driving strategies around placement goals
  • Create, implement, and manage an internship/co-op program where appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, laws and regulations (i.e. AA/ADA/etc).
  • Participate as needed in staffing related internal and external audits
  • Monitor and improve processes, and make business recommendations to improve our current processes and/or infrastructure to ensure staffing function delivers high-quality, timely results
  • Serve as expert for our ATS (Taleo). This includes identifying the need for process and system enhancements, troubleshooting, recommending changes, and providing technical guidance to the recruiting team and hiring managers
  • Determine metric reporting capabilities in Taleo

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or another related field (Required)
  • 5+ years managing a recruiting team, with responsibility for the overall recruitment function of a company
  • 5+ years of diverse recruiting experience, preferably in an environment which encompasses numerous types of roles such as engineering, scientists, construction, and other technical and non-technical disciplines
  • Prior responsibility managing a robust Applicant Tracking System (ATS), such as Taleo or Kenexa Brassring
  • Prior responsibility ensuring OFCCP compliance for applicant placement goals in relation to an Affirmative Action Plan
  • Experience coordinating career fairs, recruiting at trade shows, associations, etc.
  • Demonstrated appropriate customer service attitudes and services in a variety of work settings.
  • Technical skills related to the Recruiting Manager job (Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. and the ability to maintain and update current ATS)
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results
  • Teamwork/Collaboration: demonstrated skills and abilities in collaborative efforts with experience in team/project-oriented activities
