We are recruiting for Regional Coordinators insix assigned regions across the state of Ohio to manage community system collaboration andoutreach with internal andexternal stakeholders (e.g., boards, providers, & community stakeholders).



What you will do...



  • Coordinate and develop system design.

  • Oversee cross system and/or cross county projects.

  • Develop community level relationships and serve as a liaison to boards, providers, community stakeholders, and other organizations.

  • Recommend policy decisions on behalf of the Chief.

  • Assist local systems in the development and integration of a community system of care that supports Recovery, Resiliency, and Cultural Competence.

  • Respond to local systems in a timely manner and contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Communicate bi-directionally, effectively, and with diplomacy.

  • Partner with the department and local systems to identify goals, objectives, and/or activities to complete throughout the year and assist with implementing.

  • Enhance collaboration with boards, providers, and community stakeholders.

  • Work in partnership with boards, providers, and community stakeholders to implement strategies and locally developed plans. This includes plans to enhance the crisis continuum designed to serve the needs of the community and strategies to support initiatives that target the reduction of overdose deaths.

  • Coordinate with behavioral health, health, criminal justice, treatment, hospitals, and other systems to implement locally developed plans to support state and regional priorities.

  • Partner with boards, providers, and community stakeholders to align goals and objectives from OhioMHAS strategic plan.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with boards, providers, and stakeholders to improve data collection, quality assurance and quality improvement.

  • Work with program specialists to identify continuous quality improvement strategies.

  • Assist the Ohio Boards in the implementation and adoption of goals of transformation within community systems. Encourage consumer involvement. Inform boards of activities and opportunities.

  • Monitor data and coordinate with local systems to ensure data is collected and shared.

  • Partner with other coalitions and organizations to implement transformation plans developed by local board areas, such as community plans and crisis plans.

  • Work with boards that receive various grants. Assist them with implementing grants.

  • Develop a cooperative and successful working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to effectively work with local systems to implement plans, strategies, and funding.

  • Collaborate with other OhioMHAS staff and resources to respond to community needs.

For all programmatic positions, completion of undergraduate core program in one of following fields: mental health & developmental disabilities technology, social work or comparable field (e.g., child & family community services), special education, psychology or rehabilitation or 24 mos. exp. in development & implementation of treatment/ habilitation plans for persons who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled & working as part of interdisciplinary team to assess consumers'/residents' needs & abilities; and 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in state & federal regulations, standards & court orders governing care, custody, treatment, programming & environment of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers, or regulating drug treatment center operations or federally funded drug abuse services, or governing delivery of psychiatric services in adult correctional institution, or affecting community mental health programs (i.e., category of state & federal regulations, standards & court orders must be linked directly to type of facility & services being provided).

AND6 mos. trg. in supervisory principles/techniques or 6 mos. exp. scheduling, monitoring & evaluating personnel; and 6 mos. trg. in budgeting or 6 mos. exp. determining budget needs & spending for operational unit or program of agency or firm; and 6 mos. trg. in employee training & development or 6 mos. exp. writing training materials or conducting training; and 3 mos. trg. in manpower planning or 3 mos. exp. scheduling personnel for adequate coverage & making staff projections.

Or 6 mos. exp. as Mental Health Administrator 3, 65223.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
