Job Description:
Health Outcomes Liaisons serve as the first-line GSK strategic and tactical medical point of contact for a defined group of regional customers / US Population Based Decision Makers (PBDM).

As the incumbent, you will cover the US Northwest territory (WA, OR, ID) including Seattle, Portland and Boise. These are preferred cities, but we will consider candidates anywhere within the territory as long as you live near a major airport.

Major Accountabilities Include:
Provide scientific (clinical/health outcomes) information and support (across GSK-relevant therapeutic areas: specialty and general pharma) to key Regional health care PBDMs in a manner consistent with GSKs principles for scientific engagement.
Inform evidence-based formulary, utilization and access decisions on GSK products or in GSK-relevant therapeutic areas.
Effectively and accurately communicate findings from clinical studies, pharmacology, pharmacokinetic, safety, observational research studies, including descriptive and comparative epidemiology, burden of illness studies, meta analysis, systematic reviews, and comparative effectiveness.
Develop a deep understanding of US Population Based Decision Makers (PBDM) population-management strategies, scientific priorities and evidence needs, decision-making processes, and clinical perspectives on GSK products, therapeutic areas, and research.
Leverage field-based Medical Matrix partners and internal R&D resources to meet PBDMs need for deep clinical or therapeutic expertise.
Provide customer feedback internally to US Health Outcomes and Medical Matrix teams to influence the development of Regional PBDM-focused research agendas and programs.
Engage a defined set of customers, when appropriate, in discussions related to collaborative research up to developing and submitting a concept for review and approval.

Essential Skills:
Pharm D, PhD, MPH, or MS degree in scientific, health, or related disciple.
At least 3 years experience working with US Payer or Institutional customers in a field-based medical role
At least 3 years extensive and relevant scientific experience in a pharmaceutical or managed care setting.
Possesses solid knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in humans and has experience practically applying this knowledge in a clinical setting.
Previous clinical experience in situations where direct/or indirect decision making
authority for patient care was demonstrated is preferred (e.g. direct patient care, treatment protocol development, drug therapy guidelines development, traditional clinical pharmacy practice settings) or medical liaison experience.)
Above average computer literacy and willingness to utilize a variety of software applications.
Field-based position. Frequent travel required (60-75%). Must live in territory (WA, OR, ID)
