The Regulatory Affairs Specialist -RF will be responsible for supporting radio frequency (RF) regulatory efforts worldwide for the Surgical Innovations product portfolio. Additionally this role will be tasked with evaluation of new RF technologies and management of RF integrated circuit/module developments as they relate to Regulatory submittals.

A D ay In The Life

  • Participate as a Core team member on New Product Development teams
  • Determine radio standards and conformance requirements
  • Outline worldwide RF regulatory strategies
  • Generate product radio technical documentation and EU RED 2014/53/EU Technical files
  • Assess compliance of product documentation against US and EU Radio technical requirements
  • Submit global RF dossiers

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical device regulatory, or engineering experience
  • Or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

Nice to have:
  • Engineering Degree
  • Experience with telecom/radio medical devices development.
  • Knowledge of EMC/ EMI regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of international telecom/radio certification procedures, including details on submission, required exhibits, labeling and market surveillance mechanisms.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated competency with technical documentation used to support certification/regulatory submissions for standards, radio and safety testing, and or approval.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems of moderate scope and complex.
