As an RA or SRA working on the Analytical Developmentteam, you will be empowered todevelop, validate and transfer analytical methods to rapidly advance Takeda`s portfolio.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Responsible for executing basic/routine experiments under limited supervision. This position also plans basic experiments and performs specialized/complex experiments with assistance from a supervisor, as appropriate.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform testing of samples as per an established test method or as part of method validation/transfer
  • Contribute to technical documents such as test methods, reports, protocols, and internal presentations
  • Contribute as part of a small team of scientists towards the optimization, qualification and technical transfer of analytical methods in a compliance-based environment in a timely manner to meet program timelines
  • Identify and communicate routine technical problems within scope of responsibility
  • Contribute to project team and local initiatives, as appropriate
  • Make and understand basic experimental decisions within scope of responsibility.
  • Contribute to technical transfer of experimental data/procedures to vendors, as appropriate
  • Documents personal experimental results accurately and completely in a laboratory notebook.
  • Coordinate with departmental peers on project work as appropriate.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Associates degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science and 2 years (RA position) or 4+ years (SRA position) relevant industry experience
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; some relevant industry experience (RA position) ; 2+ years relevant industry experience (SRA position)
  • Appropriate laboratory training / previous experience working in lab setting or Masters degree plus appropriate laboratory training
  • Practical experience with typical analytical techniques (e.g HPLC, GC etc.)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • General familiarity with analytical theory and techniques. Able to work in a lab setting.
  • Analytical and Problem Solving Skills - Able to troubleshoot routine issues or problems using appropriate information
  • Teamwork - Ability to work well within small group functional teams.
  • Communication Skills -Ability to expresses ones self clearly and concisely within function; documents issues and/or concerns concisely; timely and effectively communicates issues to the supervisor
  • Organization Exercises good time management skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May require approximately 5% travel.
