Sodexo has an opportunity for a Retail Manager 2 at Fort Lewis College located in the beautiful resort town of Durango, CO.  Ft Lewis is a 4 year state institution with 3500 enrolled students.  Campus Dining includes main dining room with 800-1000 traditional board plans, 4 growing to 5 retail locations and a variety of catered events throughout the year.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Retail Manager will oversee multiple retail food outlets. Duties include managing the daily operations, employee scheduling, ordering and inventory. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced environment.


The ideal candidate will have the following preferred qualifications/experience:

  • 2+ years in a food retail management position, preferably within a retail dining/fast-casual setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers, proven customer and client first focus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized pricing, merchandising and marketing (training staff on marketing, running LTOs and specials.
  • Cash handling experience. 
  • Ability and willingness to train/develop frontline employees.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.Key Duties- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery. - Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.   



Qualifications & Requirements
