Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, is looking for a Retailer On-site Account Manager to join our Quality Assurance team in West Chester, PA.

The QA team encompasses product quality, compliance, audits, and inspections. We review pre-production goods as well as product performance and customer feedback data on a large variety of product categories. These services help meet consumer demand, minimize reputational risk and reduce environmental impact, while protecting the interests of retailers, brands, manufacturers and consumers.

Summary:

The Retailer On-site Account Manager will support the entire QA team across all Retailer brands by ensuring laboratories are performing testing in accordance with Retailer specified test methods and test protocols, including turn time requirements and test reporting procedures.

Duties

  • Responsible for effective communication and follow through between Retailer, agents, direct vendors and Intertek.
  • Provide testing guidance and field questions and inquiries.
  • Keep current on all regulatory, safety, and quality performance requirements and communicate relevant information to Retailer.
  • Monitor and work with Intertek offices worldwide to ensure Retailer's testing needs and procedures are met.
  • Monitor lab performance - turnaround time, dollar volume etc., as agreed between Intertek and Retailer, proactively address any concerns and provide monthly reporting on performance to the Retailer.
  • Update and document protocol revisions/draft requests and communicate them to Intertek's protocol team and/or update specifications, procedures or protocols as applicable.
  • Assist the client on projects and assignments, such as systems updates and product & material development procedures, reporting and presentations as needed.
  • Obtains or provides technical feedback and resolve technical issues as needed.
  • Review testing documentation and provide assessment of acceptability or make recommendation(s) for improvement.
  • Archive, file and maintain test documentation in accordance with Retailer policies.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of database/systems and manuals as they relate to Intertek. Provides training to Intertek offices or relevant client staff on new system implementation, procedures, etc.
  • Support lab testing platforms and data sharing, as well as provide reports for failure analysis.

Requirements
  • 1- 3 years' work experience in quality assurance of textiles, apparel and/or hardgoods or testing lab experience; or data analytics; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must possess a strong foundation in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent PowerPoint and email skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound technical knowledge on US consumer products regulatory requirements.
  • Willing to travel, as needed.

Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred
