Unisys - Sales Executive


Position Overview:

As a Sales Executive, you are responsible for selling into new logo accounts within a territory on a full portfolio basis. You may be assigned existing account(s) to manage and expand. You will plan, organize, lead, and control balanced sales growth, and develop and manage a qualified opportunity pipeline. Deals would generally have a reasonable level of complexity and have a medium sales cycle.




You will be responsible for selling IT Outsourcing/Managed Services (End User, Field Services, Infrastructure, Data Center Transformation, Cloud, Mobility, Security, Systems Integration, Application Services) solutions. You must generate annual orders to meet or exceed assigned targets by driving strategic, mission critical IT Outsourcing services and solutions to new logo/greenfield accounts. You will grow new business by aggressively identifying and closing complex sales opportunities across an assigned geography.


  • Lead the sales of a full range of services and solutions into targeted markets and proactively finds opportunities to leverage and cross sell the full Unisys portfolio.
  • Lead the development of winning sales strategies on complex engagements including but not limited to pricing, competitive strategy, negotiations and navigating the relationships with key influencers in the account.
  •  Leverage your business knowledge and identify appropriate solutions and services that benefit the client.
  • Utilize consultative selling methodologies to shape and influence the clients' strategic direction
  • Lead the pursuit team and facilitates the resources needed to effectively close sales opportunities. Will liaise between the client and Unisys to resolve issues and close sales.
  • Effectively identify and qualify prospects and present compelling business case to the pursuit decision board in support of obtaining pre-sales resources.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of new opportunities while closing existing opportunities. Maintain the quality of Salesforce information.
  • Develop personal knowledge of industry/market sector, clients' business challenges and the impact of potential future changes.
  • Be the trusted advisor to the C-level community in targeted opportunities.
  • Build upon your 'C'-level client contacts and relationships and proactively gain understanding of the client's business problem/opportunity.


    Skills, Experience & Qualifications:



Passion for selling (IT industry background preferable) Enthusiastic and self-starting approach. Ability to simplify and prioritize customer requirements and develop sales strategies that clearly define customer goals and metrics for success. Establish, develop & grow new business relationships with influential contacts within Key Accounts. Knowledge of Datacenters, and the operational day to day management of them


Requires a Bachelor's degree or requisite and a minimum of 5 years of sales and/or industry experience. Successful track record of quickly qualifying and pursuing new opportunities tied to Data Center Transformation, Application Modernization and Outsourcing and End User Services. Exposure selling cloud, security and mobility solutions in closing complex deals is preferred. History of exceeding quotas and demonstrating sales development with complex sales supporting mission critical applications. Understand business drivers within the industry and emerging marketplace trends. Worked across a matrix organization to achieve objectives; this includes other divisions, alliance partners, and staff roles. Strong industry expertise, technical sales skills and a thorough knowledge of the marketplace, competition, industry segment and suppliers in order to leverage the Unisys value proposition.
