About the Position

The Salesforce Administrators primary objective is to help the organization drive profitable growth. The role will handle data entry, data analysis, basic system maintenance, and provide sales/lead generation support. The administrator will work cross departmentally and will engage senior management on a regular basis. The role will support functions within project management, administration, and analysis. Additional duties will include support with promotional items, conference scheduling, answering and delegating non-lead generation phone calls, and administering basic training on Salesforce and related systems.


Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Salesforce

Create and maintain user access profiles and privileges, to include but not limited to, unlocking user accounts, resetting passwords, Single Sign-On (SSO), two-factor authentication, whitelisting IP addresses, transferring record ownership, deactivating access as personnel changes occur, and addressing certificate problems

Ensure accurate data entry into Salesforce and other integrated systems

Prepare data files and upload data into Salesforce using the data loader and other 3rd party tools.

Manage a process to deploy new system functionality including the creation of custom objects, custom formulas, scalable triggers, and workflows.

Develop, maintain, and train users on how to create or modify existing reports so meaningful metrics can be accessed accurately and in a timely manner

Work to integrate Salesforce within our BI tool UNIFY (QLIK) to produce actionable analytics

Troubleshooting email campaigns, workflows, approval cycles, or autoresponders that generate excessive bounced mails

Reconcile and correct data duplication issues on a monthly basis for system optimization

Import leads and contacts to ensure an up to date registry

Serve as main point of contact for all requests and issues relating to Salesforce

Work with the sales leadership on ad hoc reporting, dashboard creation and modifications, lead/opportunity related issues, and system configurations

Standardize, streamline and automate employee collaboration process

Run and store the monthly snapshot (data export) of the system data and attachments, including all history tables. Keep the snapshots for at least 5 years

Run data-quality dashboards to audit the Salesforce environment

Read and maintain a basic knowledge of software updates and schedules

Oversee implementation and deployment of Salesforce module (Example: Einstein Analytics Plus)

Work with Lead Generation to orchestrate ads with acquisition and nurture programs


  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent years of experience required. Equivalent years of experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience functioning as an administrator of a system within Sales and Marketing required; specific Salesforce experience preferred

  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified preferred

  • Ability to translate business needs into appropriate data requirements and support those processes to the satisfaction of the end user

  • Ability to create and document workflows, custom views, formula fields and other content of intermediate complexity

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

  • Must be proficient at analyzing data, building reporting, and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends

  • Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite required (specific emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work with data integration (Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Navigator, Zoom Media, and/or Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) is preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and a desire to self-motivate

Travel Requirements

  • This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less.

  • A passport is not required, but recommended.
