Bank of America has been on a multi-year journey to transform & modernize its software delivery practices & technologies. The Bank of America Enterprise Technology Architecture and Shared Capabilities (ETASC) organization has enabled a state of the art DevOps platform called Horizon.



Through the Bank of America Technology transformation initiative, all of Bank of America tools, technologies, and capabilities have converged into the Horizon DevOps platform as the single centralize vehicle to deliver business applications across the Enterprise.



In fact, the Horizon DevOps platform represents one of the largest DevOps platform implementation in the world, enabling over 15,000 employees across Bank of America to plan, build, test, and deliver they software in unified and automated fashion.



**Position Description:**



The SDLC and DevOps Senior Engineering Manager will work directly with senior technology executives across the Bank ensure that the Horizon DevOps platform continues to enable frictionless software delivery across the primary lines of business such as Consumer Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Wholesale Banking, and Risk Finance technology. The SDLC and DevOps Senior Engineering Manager will work on a day-to-day basis with the Product Management office to ensure that all business and technical requirements are prioritized and weighted against the strategic vision to deliver a modern & simplified technology ecosystem for the Bank. The SDLC and DevOps Senior Engineering Manager will also own multi-million dollar vendor relationships with several high end technology firms that provide Bank of America several of its core DevOps technologies. Finally, the SDLC and DevOps Senior Engineering Manager will interact and lead a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers and provide ongoing guidance and direction on the evolution, vision, design, & implementation of the Horizon DevOps platform.

**Responsibilities:**



+ Influence overall Technology transformation, and drive the technical execution of the Horizon DevOps platform that enables the transformation

+ Drive standardization of software development practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery

+ Define & execute on a vision and roadmap that enables the enterprise wide Horizon DevOps platform to adapt to a fast moving industry

+ Manage the full range of external DevOps vendor engagement

+ Maintain close working relationships with the multiple heads of technology transformation across the several lines of business in the Bank.

+ Drive strategy & innovation in the domain of SDLC & DevOps



**Required Skills:**



+ Extensive external network across financial services & DevOps industry

+ Deep experience managing large scale software implementations

+ Ability to execute tactically as well as demonstrate ability to think and act strategically

+ Strong leadership skills and ability to create a vision and lead teams to success

+ Functional knowledge and experience including but not limited to: Software Engineering practices, DevOps, information security, vendor management, executive communications, and management

+ Ability to think, act and decision with an enterprise lens, while also understanding the individual line of business needs

+ Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives with a track record of driving change

+ Shapes the opinions and actions of key stakeholders by influencing and gaining their trust and commitment to reach desired outcomes

+ Strong relationship management skills to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization

+ Excellent influence, negotiation and communication skills

+ Politically astute and tactful; attentive to the perspectives and competing interests of various internal and external stakeholders

+ Ability to prioritize projects, multi-task, work under extreme pressure and meet deadlines

+ Ability to travel, as needed
