A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Return preparation and analysis related to the motor fuels business (eg. Gasoline, ethanol)

  • Schedule and code tax payments timely and accurately

  • Build strong relationships with business partners to assist with the management of excise tax and environmental fee activity

  • Research, evaluation, and implementation of legislation related to area of responsibility

  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations related to tax activity

  • Administrate tax compliance and determination systems

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, both international and domestic

  • Share knowledge across the business and adhere to Koch Supply and Trading's Market Based Management philosophy

  • Exercise full compliance with Koch Supply and Trading standards and constantly work to strengthen the control environment

  • Maintain license and bonds renewals for excise taxes

  • Manage excise tax audit requests

  • Complete AP/AR settlement, as assigned

What You will Need:


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree

  • 2+ years Accounting work experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel including the use of basic formulas and the ability to manage data.

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of Indirect, Sales/Use tax work experience
Other Considerations:
  • May be required to work rotating holidays due to international support

  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
