Maximum Processing offers Stingray, a modular browser-based, property and casualty solution for Policy (quoting, rating, issuance), Billing, Claims and Reinsurance administration along with statistical bureau, DMV, Imaging, Credit Card, General Ledger, Comparative Raters, CLUE reporting and many other third-party interfaces.

The Senior Business Analyst is a key participant in the SDLC process, mastering the insurance industry and the functionality Stingray provides to the P&C insurance market. This individual will work with clients and management using their strong analytical skills to solve diverse problems where limited precedents or guidelines may exist. They will need to be able to understand the business problem and requirements, and the impact on the technical system. This individual will have the ability to lead a team of business personnel on various projects and direct their activities as well as the ability to perform the activities themselves while translating the business requirements into technical, product oriented requirements.


  • Act as a P&C Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with clients, which lead to clear determination of the deliverables expected from the company
  • Conduct and lead discovery sessions with clients (sessions that assess the clients' business and technical challenges and determining the company's and product's ability to support their needs). The Business Analyst is expected to represent the company in these sessions and steer to an acceptable solution according to the company and product's capabilities.
  • Document Requirement Specifications and ProduceFunctional Designdocuments per domains of expertise e.g. New Business, Claims, etc.
  • These documents determine the scope of the project and deliverables to the customer, and call for the Business Analyst's discretion in making decisions regarding the scope of the company's commitment to the customer.
  • Implement, in means of configuration, relevant aspects of the client's requirements
  • Write/ Review test plans
  • Perform expert testing and defects prioritization following development/configuration
  • Conduct training sessions on the system and its configured product set
  • Production support including UAT testing, defect analysis and Change Requests management
  • Manage Scope - Identify Change Requests and/or out of scope items
  • Perform gap analysis / impact assessments
  • Use management/reporting systems, as required


  • Bachelor's in business, marketing, computer science or related field; extensive experience can be used to supplement.
  • 12+ years of experience conducting business analysis in the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry
  • In depth understanding of the foundations of P&C insurance
  • Policy, billing and claims administration knowledge and implementation experience in the P&C insurance industry
  • 7+ years of experience Requirement gathering and documentation experience
  • Experience transforming Business requirements to technical requirements
  • Experience with configurable enterprise systems
  • Client facing experience is a must
  • Strong communication skills - ability to clearly articulate requirements; excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience with JAD Sessions, SDLC- System Design Life Cycle, Gap analysis - nice to have
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, MS, Project, Visio)
  • Strong hands on approach, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as dictated by business needs
