Role Responsibilities
Outcome/Success Criteria:
  • Help elevate all the James B. Beam Distilling Co whiskey brands - from the most accessible to the most innovative
  • Enable the new brand house operating model to ensure organizational understanding and adherence to parent and specific brand promise, strategy and visual identity
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the overall portfolio strategy, working across all of James B Beam Distilling Co. (JBBDCo) to define the parent brand and supporting portfolio architecture
  • Manage the necessary quantitative and qualitative analysis to make optimal strategic recommendations on portfolio strategy - develop and maintain scorecard KPI tracking
  • Author the JBBDCo digital marketing strategy from concept to content amplification including how we recruit and integrate with the homeplace experience in Clermont
  • Lead Barreled and Boxed direct to consumer membership program including how JBBDCo expands eCommerce opportunities via seamless commerce
  • Assist in developing global approach to consumer need states, category segmentation and brand roles
  • Prioritize the Brand Market Combinations for JBBDCo to achieve premiumization objective and geographic footprint expansion
  • Work closely with supply chain to help decision making on maturing inventory liquid trade-offs
  • Work closely with innovation partners and R&D to craft long-term JBBDCo innovation strategy, outlining vision, objectives and guardrails
  • Work closely with finance to define the new brand investment allocation model
  • Lead Licensing initiative across the James B Beam house
  • Assist in the strategic plan development and brand planning process with a 1Y, 3Y and 10Y view
  • Coordinate across the portfolio to provide updates on JBBDCo through MBRs and ELTs
  • Work cross-functionally with insights, innovation, finance, supply chain, digital marketing, strategy, and with local markets

Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of related marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required and MBA preferred
  • Strong understanding of premium brand building in spirits
  • Strategic mindset
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and demonstrated ability to draw conclusions and extract meaningful insights
  • Strong understanding of strategic and financial implications of supply chain
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Able to work well in a fast paced, cross-functional environment
  • Team player with collaborative style and good listening skills. Culturally sensitive and proven ability to build credibility and excel in an international environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong intellectual ability with an organized analytical approach
