Welcome to Activision Mobile.We're a new in-house studio, dedicated to developing the best AAA mobile games in the world. Your Profile

As a Senior Content Designer on Call of Duty Mobile you will be responsible for helping to create and execute a vision for Call of Duty:Mobile live operations content. As a Senior Content Designer you will bring the unique narrative, characters, and weapons to life through the design of seasonal themes, assets for battle pass, battle crates, lucky draws, holiday content, and other events. In addition they will help create the ongoing overarching narrative for the title in the form of comics and narrative briefs that tie into content and feature drops. The perfect candidate has a passion for the Call of Duty franchise, has experience with narrative and visual storytelling, is familiar with mobile best practices and has worked in a fast paced live ops environment. Reporting to the Art Director, you will join a team of content and narrative designers who value teamwork, collaboration, constructive input, and the relentless pursuit of quality.

Main Mission

  • Conceptualize characters, weapons, and other assets with an emphasis on fast ideation and creative design through the use of mood boards and written narrative
  • Work with the Art Director and stakeholders to develop and propose new seasonal themes
  • Conceptualize and help write overarching narrative from Season to Season.
  • Help mentor junior designers and help establish best practices in narrative and content design
  • Evaluate proposals and concepts from external developers and outsource vendors
  • Consistently bring creative and fresh ideas to the table that will surprise and delight our player base
  • Contribute to the review of game systems and other design proposals
  • Collaborate and build relationships with Content Design group, external partners, and vendors

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years working experience in a design role with at least one shipped product or having worked on a live ops product
  • Experience designing cosmetic assets for games
  • Experience with establishing narrative or visual storytelling
  • Comfortable developing visuals through the use of mood boards or concept art
  • Passion for playing and making video games
  • Clear, effective communication with a wide variety of designers, artists, and engineers
  • A positive and self-driven attitude with the ability to be collaborative in a team environment

Extra Points:

  • Strong familiarity with Call of Duty IP and storylines
  • Background in art and ability to provide paintovers or concept ideas
  • Previous experience designing for mobile devices
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
