As Senior Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics Oncology you will partner with, advise, and advocate for, Oncology Business Unit leadership on portfolio of Commercial Insights & Analytics responsibilities and defined deliverables, including:

  • Lead Insights & Analytics Team, including six direct reports.
  • Direct Analytics team responsible for ongoing commercial key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue forecasting assumption generation.
  • Develop KPIs, assess performance of in-line products at national and sub-national levels.
  • Deploy high impact performance reports/dashboards to keep leadership abreast of KPIs and areas of potential opportunity or threats.
  • Present to senior leadership on the key drivers of product performance (and the key hypotheses requiring deeper analysis).
  • Identify early-warning signals of changes in the market environment that may require action or decisions by the Oncology Leadership Team.
  • Complete segmentation studies to inform targeting exercises.
  • Conduct promotional sensitivity, marketing mix, and omnichannel analytics projects.
  • Perform ad hoc, deep dive analysis in secondary research as required to uncover and understand market and competitive dynamics.
  • Direct Insights team responsible for pre-launch and in-line primary market research and real world data analyses.
  • Manage all primary market research to assess qualitative impact on forecast assumptions.
  • Execute on pre-launch research to support communication plan (positioning, messaging, creative development).
  • Support team on advancing primary research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Keep abreast of market & industry developments and incorporate applicable trends into forecasting assumptions.
  • Work with Forecasting team to incorporate the impact of key market trends and events. Work collaboratively with internal customers to ensure that forecast assumptions are fact-based and reasonable.
  • Evaluate and recommend new primary and secondary data sources and vendors.
  • Assess predictive analytics methodologies for use in decision-making.

    Youwill work along-side Sales and Marketing functions, anduse strong influencing, communication, and negotiation skills, in addition to a combination of strong technical competences in order to effectively communicate to management committees.     Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in a Business or Science field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in similar roles within healthcare consulting, banking, investment or the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Technical, Analytical and computer skills; Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical secondary data sources (e.g., Rx data, claims, EMR data, etc.)
  • Knowledge of primary market research methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA is a plus
  • Oncology experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong biotech/pharmaceutical business knowledge
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau is preferred
  • Preferred demonstrable record of success in Pharmaceutical market/product forecasting, Primary market research, and Secondary market research
  • Proven ability to work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to bring analytics to life both orally and in presentation format so that the story behind the data is able to be quickly grasped
  • Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects concurrently, maintain a high level of productivity, innovation, and priority-setting in order to complete assignments on-time.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively interfacing with all levels of management and departments within the company.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with willingness to work collaboratively by incorporating diverse perspectives and appropriately managing relationships in order to strengthen decision-making.
  • Proactively seeks out and recommends process improvements.
  • Resourceful, tenacious, creative, enthusiastic, and results-oriented.
  • Entrepreneurial, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
