Nemours is seeking a Senior Donor Relations and Data Specialist (FULL-TIME), to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.

Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Childrens Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the areas only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Childrens Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.

The Senior Donor Relations and Data Specialist plays an important role in the growth of the Orlando Fund team's fundraising efforts by managing the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a moves management program, as well as overseeing the gift entry process in support of the team's goals. This position also provides support of fundraising teams in Pensacola and Jacksonville, as required. He/she integrates with the Delaware Valley Donor Relations team on ensuring adoption of organization wide standards and best practices. The Senior Donor Relations and Data Specialist is responsible for helping to identify and develop strategies and tools that positively impact donor growth and retention. This position provides support to advance the cultivation, stewardship, and overall engagement of donors. Her/his duties also include gifts processing; CRM data extraction, reporting, and quality assurance; acknowledgment processing; prospect research; event registration and tracking; and list generation.

Donor Relations Strategy and Execution

  • Work with fundraising program leaders and fundraisers on the development of strategies to identify, engage, and steward donors.
  • Manage and participate in the implementation of donor engagement initiatives and ensure appropriate monitoring and tracking of key metrics that align with enterprise wide best practices. Integrate with the Delaware Valley Donor Relations team.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of technology that supports the cultivation, engagement, and stewardship of donors. Includes online giving pages, prospect tracking, event management, donor database, and other technology used by the Fund team. Provide expertise during the tool selection process. Oversee implementation and maintenance. Provide training as needed.

Prospect Identification and Research

  • Conducts data mining to identify new prospects and support efforts to assign these prospects to front-linefundraisers.
  • Compiles, formats, and presents prospect profile and research on current and prospectivedonors.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Develop tools and provide data analysis and reporting of key department and fundraising metrics for internal and external purposes, including reports for foundations, leadership, and staff. Includes monthly reconciliation and reporting of transactional and financial information, department revenue and expenses, restricted funds, indicators of donor growth and retention, return on investment, and other key measuresas defined by team and organization leadership. Extract lists for donor outreach in support of invitations, communications, and event participation at the request of fundraising staff. Provide support to Pensacola and Jacksonville Fund teams as needed.

Gift Entry and Acknowledgment

  • In collaboration with other Fund team members locally and enterprise wide, manage gift entry in accordance with strict organizational guidelines. Create acknowledgment letters in a timely manner. Provide support to Pensacola and Jacksonville Fund teams asneeded.

Compliance, Tax and Regulatory Requirements

  • Partner to support reporting related to compliance, tax and regulatory requirements related to philanthropy, which can include Annual State Solicitation registrations, information to be included in Form 990, solicitation disclosures, and document retention and destruction.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of five (5) + years' experience required.
  • Raiser's Edge Fundamentals or Professional Certification preferred.
  • Mastery of donor technology including CRM databases, prospect identification and research applications, and online giving tools, including certification in Raiser's Edge and expertise in Qgiv.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with internal associates, visitors, and donors in a professional and discreet manner.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
