NRT is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis department at our national headquarters in Madison, NJ. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial reports and analyses for management. This role will provide the main financial and operational support to the National Marketing team. The role will interact with the business unit president, CFO and SVP of marketing, as well as corporate and other business unit FP&A teams. This is a high visibility position with opportunity for growth and the ability to shine.


  • Take a leading role in the annual budgeting process.

  • Produce forecast variance analysis to facilitate monthly close process.

  • Prepare monthly forecasts, comparing to prior forecasts, plan and prior year.

  • Analyze expense variances for 4 operating regions and provide commentary.

  • Provide financial and operating support to National Marketing SVP and Studio VPs.

  • Responsible for business unit consolidation of revenue drivers and P&L into corporate reporting.

  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.

  • Support business unit Strategic Plan preparation and updates.

  • Analyze the impact of acquisitions and company-wide initiatives to the P&L.

  • Review business unit and corporate presentations for data accuracy and integrity.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses (revenue by state, driver rate-volume analysis).

  • Participate in department-level projects, including the integration of a new financial planning system.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business / Finance or a related field.

  • 4+ years finance or accounting/audit experience.

Other Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience of financial analysis and budgeting/forecasting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.

  • 4+ years experience building, running and understanding detailed and accurate financial models.

  • Demonstrated ability to review existing processes, identify challenges and recommend solutions to achieve more efficient results.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to present information effectively to senior management in the organization.

  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, across departments and business units.

  • Solid PC skills including an advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Knowledge of Hyperion, Oracle, and/or Cognos a plus.

  • Experience within the real estate industry a plus.
