Summary of Role

The Senior Manager of Global Academic Channels establishes, maintains and grows commercial opportunities with International Higher Education Institutions. Uses a consultative sales approach to sell the Associations broad portfolio of membership and learning products through channel partner relationships. Responsible for collaborating with internal teams in building products that appeal to the Academic market.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Association Academic team to establish targeted accounts and coordinate conversations with Academic targets.

  • Conduct meetings and perform discovery sessions to understand clients needs and develop and propose learning solutions and delivery options to meet those needs.

  • Manage and grow new and existing channel partner relationships and revenue associated with distributers and resellers.

  • Manages Global Academic Institutions as channel. Create new and mange existing relationships with thought leadership and resell content to faculty for integration in wider Academic programs.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Associations products and services, including technical delivery systems, content and membership offerings and customization options in order to serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

  • Work with content producers and program owners to bring together products and the Associations broader vision on how to collaborate with the academic market.

  • Work with key decision makers to understand systems and operational needs in order to deliver and distribute content and learning product

  • Work with Portfolios to provide feedback on product interest and potential trends in Global product needs.

  • Participates in marketing program planning, development, and execution to ensure that the programs succeed according to plan.

  • Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a proactive partner relationship.

  • Sell through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources.

  • Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements.

  • Document and provide weekly activities, feedback, and results to Manager

  • Engage other internal team members to participate in customer outreach when appropriate.

  • Assist with preparing and managing proposals and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained, as needed.

  • Provide feedback to internal teams and leadership regarding customer needs and trends to ensure ongoing offering of competitive products and services.

  • Stay abreast of developments in the profession, hot topics and portfolio team product developments.

  • Develop and maintain current records and documentation, including channel processes, usage reports and access control for key accounts

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

  • None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Advanced knowledge of University Learning Programs for Accounting

  • Advanced knowledge of International Markets, preferably as it pertains to Learning and Development

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts while providing a high level of client satisfaction

  • Understanding of training and education operations

  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and strong relationship management skills

  • Strong communications and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to creatively develop solutions

  • Strong project management skills
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 7-8 years of experience working in a similar capacity, having seen programs from infancy to maturation.
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the accounting profession and the needs of practicing CPAs and CGMAs

  • Minimum 8 years of Channel sales experience in Education or training
