OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • This position leverages your technical expertise to project manage and provide operational excellence, to:
    • Develop analysis of business need, knowledge gaps, primary and/or secondary research to fill prioritized gaps
    • Incorporate and distill insights from various sources to drive recommenations and alignment for action for key brand stakeholders.
    • Engage key stakeholders and extended team members to ensure insights are incorporated into the brand strategy
    • Communicate those integrated insights to relevant stakeholders across Takeda
  • Responsibilities associated with Global commercial insights include leading cross-functional teams in predicting and planning solutions to achieve successful execution, driving the brand team to achieve clarity on issues and action, consulting influence with senior management.
  • Proactively identifies strategic and tactical knowledge and market research consulting needs of GOBU, establishing both long-range and short-term business impact for specific brand(s)
  • Developing and owning an integrated market research plan, including prioritizing and executing on the plan for specific brand(s).
  • Develops market research plans and manages expectations about deliverables and timing of results, highlighting and resolving issues and ensuring regular communication of processes enhancements to key stakeholders.
  • Sets and provides clear direction in methods, recommendations and secures stakeholder support and endorsement for market research plan and individual market research projects.
  • Develops and implements new and innovative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ensures all processes related to procurement, vendors, compliance, pharmacovigilance and budget management activities are in accordance to Takedas policy foreach Market Research projects.
  • Owning the registering, tracking compliance and pharmacovigilancerequirements for all market research projects within their scope.
  • Managing operational processes for brand(s) and presents recommended enhancements to GOBU leadership for approval.
  • Identifies ways to improve efficiency and quality of market research execution.
  • Accountable for efficient project management of primary research studies to ensure they are within scope, timelines and budget.
  • Aligns, monitors and reports on team-specific project delivery, expenses, and other insights operation metrics.
  • Executes other ad hoc tasks assigned by manager.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE

  • In depth exposure to brand strategies for some key promoted brands, and direct contribution to brand growth and profitabilty target via generation of market research insights
  • Exposure to US Oncology leadership team, and global oncology management team as the role involves direct support of franchise lead for preparing and presenting financials for QBR, and forecasting.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Masters Degree and minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience inclusive of 3+ years of Commercial experience including Market Research, Market Access, Pricing, Launch Planning and project management; Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of Commercial experience including Market Research, Market Access, Pricing, Launch Planning and project management B.A./B.S. scientific, commercial or social science education.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with senior management.
  • Thorough knowledge of drug commercialization
  • MBA preferred but not critical
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of quality, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of all process outputs
