We are searching for a Senior Project Manager in the central and north Florida area. This is an excellent leadership opportunity to help build our newest BSA studio. The purpose of this position is to manage projects of significant size and/or complexity to ensure project outcomes are successful both financially and timely and ensures the project team utilizes the best available resources throughout all phases of the work. We are considering candidates from any location in the central and north Florida region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Best available resources are combined and effectively utilized (staffing).
    • Works with all discipline leads to properly create multi-disciplinary project teams.

    • Works with Principal and Primary Technical Professional from every discipline to develop and maintain accurate and executable workplan throughout the life of the project.

  • Firm processes and standards are met for quality
    • Ensure high quality projects.

    • Schedule and coordinate the execution of Quality Management reviews throughout all phases of design for projects.

    • Deliver large and/or complex projects on time, on budget, and with high quality design.

  • Project Coordination between disciplines and outside consultants
    • Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing (utilizing external consultants when required) for each phase of the project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of personnel.

    • Working closely with personnel from other disciplines (utilizing external consultants when required) as necessary to ensure objectives of project are met.

  • Project management facilitation (including communication, manage the contract, staffing, budget, schedule, project scope, client and E&Os)
    • Develops project proposal (along with Principal) and develops plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, outline procedures for project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.

    • Serves as the main (Day-to-Day) point of communication for large or complex projects directly with the client to facilitate the project delivery.

    • Maintains knowledge of and communicates the requirements of the client contract such that the project team meets all contractual obligations. May negotiate special contractual conditions with new and existing clients within the firms best interest.

    • Works in conjunction with the Principal and other team members to navigate contentious situations to satisfactorily meet both the clients and the firms expectations.

  • Manage project profitability
    • Reviews and directs monthly billings for clients.

    • Review and approves consultant invoices and project expenses.

    • Monitor all financial aspects of the project and communicates adjustments in staffing, deliverables, schedule, and project scope to the project team as necessary to maintain project profitability goals.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare project reports for management, clients, and others.

  • Understand client needs and seek follow-up business when appropriate.

  • Promote company reputation through good client relations.

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned

  • Strategic Thinking: Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; Understands organizations strengths and weaknesses; Adapts strategy to changing conditions.

  • Strong Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps; familiarity with Deltek Vision preferred

  • Experience working with projects focused on Discovery-pharmaceutical labs or manufacturing, Healthcare or Higher Education helpful.
  • 10 - 15 years: 15+ years related professional experience and/or 10+ years experience in project management and proven expertise.


  • Bachelors or better in Architecture or related field
  • Masters or better in Architecture or related field
