Senior Relationship Manager Middle Market Financial Sponsor Group



Bank of Americas Global Commercial bank (GCB) is seeking to hire a Coverage Banker for its Middle Market Financial Sponsor Group (MMFSG). MMFSG provides dedicated investment and commercial banking services to select private equity firms owning and making strategic investments in middle market companies across the United States. The Coverage Banker reports to the MMFSG group head and will work with approximately 15 private equity firms located primarily in the Northeast US. The banker will be responsible for identifying and helping to deliver debt and equity capital raising and mergers and acquisitions solutions to the portfolio companies owned by these firms. In addition, the Coverage Banker will partner with local bankers who are responsible for delivering risk management, treasury management, employee benefits, wealth management and other products/services. This role requires the individual to be strong, decisive and results-oriented with excellent sales and partnership skills.



Scope of Responsibilities:



+ Managing day to day relationships with a portfolio of middle market financial sponsors ranging in size from $750mm to $3b+ Partnering with senior bankers across BAMLs industry and regional based investment banking teams to deliver capital raising and M&A solutions to those covered sponsors

+ Partner with associates across the country to deliver banking solutions to the underlying portfolio companies

+ Act as an investment banking/financial sponsor resource to commercial bankers across the U.S.



Success Measures/Metrics:



+ Maximizing revenue across credit and investment banking, with a focus on M&A and ECM

+ Delivering new logos to the GCB markets around the country

+ Maximize client revenue by positioning local banking teams to deliver products/services to underlying portfolio companies

+ 360 feedback



**Required Skills:**



+ Heavy investment banking skill set

+ Undergraduate degree required: Majors in business, finance or economics preferred.

+ Experience in leveraged finance, capital markets and M&A

+ Strong credit skills

+ Knowledge, skills, and leadership characteristics:

+ Strong understanding of sales organizations and sales processes

+ Champion change and ensure changes are effectively implemented

+ Able to drive integration among multiple partners and functions

+ Able to influence and provide thought leadership across multiple businesses

+ Able to easily navigate multiple client and support organizations

+ Demonstrates sound judgment and acts with speed - able to achieve results quickly

+ Complex problem resolution abilities

+ Displays personal courage, makes tough people and business decisions

+ Communicates crisply and candidly

+ Unquestionable business and personal integrity

+ Series 7& 63;(must obtain series 7 & 63 license within 180 days of start date.)
