Our Consulting practice seeks experienced Information Technology professionals to join our Risk Consulting team in our Los Angeles office. As a Senior Risk Consultant in the practice, you work as part of a consulting team and are expected to play a significant role in client engagement, along with maintaining additional internal (non-client) responsibilities.

The preferred location for this position is our Los Angeles office. Our firm has offered our employees the option to work remotely at this time.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare audit working papers that summarizing the evidentiary data obtained, sampling justification, and the conclusions reached
  • Perform controls assessment and testing for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and System and Organizational Controls (SOC) reporting
  • Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, controls which mitigate risks, and the related opportunities for control improvements
  • Preparation of process and control documentation using narratives, flowcharts and process maps where required
  • Incident management and oversight
  • Provide exceptional and effective client service
  • Stay current and informed of the ever-changing compliance landscape and up to date with the latest IT threats and mitigation techniques

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Information Systems or a related field of study
  • CISA and/or other equivalent certifications
  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience with IT audit or operational audit in a professional services firm or a consulting practice
  • Strong working knowledge of information technology audit and control frameworks such as COBIT, SOC, NIST and ISO
  • Experience working with audit tools (ACL ,IDEA, etc.) that facilitate efficiencies in testing of internal controls
  • Experience with auditing the following domains:
    • Information security administration
    • Information privacy
    • Physical and logical security
    • System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change control
    • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)
    • Production scheduling and monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A desire and ability to work and contribute in a team environment
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
