We are now looking for a world-class software engineer to join the Game Engines and Core Tech team. The ideal candidate will be a C++ programmer who is an expert in modern real-time graphics algorithms, is comfortable working in game engines, and enjoys working on the bleeding edge of GPU architectures.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide support to NVIDIA's game engine partners.
  • Work on next-generation graphics algorithms on NVIDIA platforms.
  • Build solutions to some of the hardest technical challenges in gaming.
  • Work with game developer partners on deploying this technology.
  • Interact closely with internal architecture and driver teams on shaping the future of NVIDIA platforms for games.

What we need to see:

  • A bachelor's degree from a leading university in an Engineering or Computer Science related discipline and 8+ years of experience.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D graphics and GPU technologies, including shaders, shading languages, and rendering techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of C++ and programming techniques.
  • Experience optimizing graphics algorithms for performance.
  • Experience in DirectX or OpenGL development.
  • Understanding of computer architecture, especially GPU architectures.
  • Experience in game development and with game engines.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine a major plus.
  • Knowledge of physically-based rendering techniques would be a plus.
  • Good organizational skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Proactive and able to work with minimum supervision.
