The Human Resources Research Practice at Gartner is seeking a Senior Specialist within the Quantitative Analytics & Data Science Team. The position involves the complete ownership of our proprietary benchmarking application, which is used by most of the practices within Gartner and is also accessed by 15,000 external clients a year. The application is an integral part of our memberships and is a key driver for new business and renewals. Ownership includes, internal stakeholder management, usage analysis, project management for any new development, and promotion of the product within Gartner. In addition, this position will also involve the development and management of multiple survey and data reporting tools. Project responsibilities include data aggregation and analysis, automated reporting, conducting descriptive and prescriptive data analysis, development and/or management of small-scale web applications, and development/enhancement of internal BI analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT product management (product development, product design, product strategy, etc)
  • Stakeholder management (building & managing partner relationships, customer service, etc)
  • Partner with internal clients to develop and maintain web application(s)
  • Manage client data (including quality and security)
  • Assist internal clients with new product development, including requirements and best practices definitions
  • Develop and maintain key internal BI metrics
  • Build reports (using automated processes) to present member results and analysis based on Gartner research
  • Own end-to-end creation, development and analysis of large, complex data sets to identify actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain SQL databases which support reporting and application initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate within quantitative discipline such as IT/computer science, economics, accounting, statistics, or mathematics
  • 3+ years of total experience, with at least 2 years' experience working in data analysis, quantitative research, analytics or benchmarking AND at least 2 years' experience with product management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with statistical packages, especially Python and/or SPSS

Preferred Requirements:

  • Programming or advanced statistical skills
  • Exposure to technologies like Machine Learning, NLP (natural language processing) and Text Analytics
  • Knowledge of MS Power BI, Tableau Online, MicroStrategy or other data visualization tools
