JOB DESCRIPTION:

Act as the Business Analyst/functional lead on gathering requirements for the ServiceNow Platform team. The basic responsibilities of the role include: analyzing business requirements through workflow analyses, translating business requirements into functional designs, evaluating feasibility with Process owners, stakeholders, managing the requirements and in-take of the ServiceNow platform, serving as subject matter expert on the ServiceNow Platform, and managing the upgrades to the ServiceNow.

Candidate must be a quick learner to learn existing systems to help with systems analysis and numerous system integrations. Has experience in conducting analysis with expertise in different business areas, application wide analysis and proposal of solutions. Assembles, analyzes, and represents customer business requirements. Performs feasibility analysis, scopes project, recommends alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.

Responsible for high level implementation plans, data and process models, cost estimating, cost benefits analysis, and return on investments. able to facilitate workshops such as JAD, RAD, and DRP sessions, etc. Business Analysts should also be able to perform as a functional lead and Project Manager when necessary.

Responsibilities:

1. Defines and manages one or multiple phases of major projects for a business area. Determines resource needs, recommends test strategies, and develops cost benefit analysis. Manages and implements projects. Oversees all project activities and provides status reports.

2. Interacts with technology, product management, and operations to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables, or improve processes. Identifies impact of changes and processes on staff; facilitates acceptance of change through training and communication. Provides ongoing support for the solution.

3. Reviews documents, existing procedures, and processes and recommends where automation or improved processes can be implemented. Designs/develops new procedures when appropriate.

4. Prepares detailed system specifications for proposed automated processes and systems enhancements.

5. Sets and maintains project schedules, monitors progress toward completion of project and adjusts schedule or tasks as needed.

6. Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of new processes, systems and/or modifications to existing solutions. Coordinates testing of new systems and systems modifications.

7. Determines vendor requirements, reviews and compares vendor services and products, and makes recommendations to management.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC DETAILS:

Work on multiple projects within the ServiceNow Platform Team.

Experience working on Agile Projects is preferred.

ADDITIONAL DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The BA will work closely with the Process Owers, Scrum Master, Project Managers and Product Owners to assist in planning of projects, work closely with Business and Technology Partners to determine requirements.

Write Agile User Stories and leverage Agile Applications

ServiceNow

SharePoint

Word, Powerpoint, Project, Excel.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Strong verbal communications and technical writing skills to interview users and document existing processes and business requirements.

Strong analysis skills and problem-solving.

Good understanding of technical integration between systems.

Experience working on application development team in the financial industry
