This key leadership role is responsible for the performance and development of individual team members to deliver on product system/ department metrics. A successful Shift Coach candidate will exemplify MBM and will advance our culture by ensuring that the organization is aligned and capable. This is an integral part of our bet to meet the challenge of improving at a faster rate than our competition. The successful candidate will exemplify MBM and will advance our culture by ensuring their team is capable and aligned and that all employees behave in a manner consistent with our MBM Guiding Principles.












A Day In The Life Typically Includes:






  • Collaborating with Safety, Environmental, Maintenance, Operations, Controller, and Quality Leaders to gain the knowledge tools to elevate a team to its full potential


  • Embracing and managing change to drive innovation and process improvements


  • Applying MBM to foster a culture where employees are empowered


  • Facilitating team and employee development, problem-solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership, and holding employees accountable


  • Taking accountability of safety quality and efficiency through leadership, individual ownership and accountability, teamwork, and delegation


  • Coaching, motivating, and mentoring the team to drive safe and efficient behaviors leading to positive outcomes. Taking corrective action measures as needed


  • Using critical & economic thinking, challenge process, and team collaboration to resolve issues and drive innovation, efficiency, and safety excellence.


  • Completing paperwork and reports with accuracy to meet deadlines


  • Leveraging strong oral and written communication skills to communicate with the facility team, leadership, and corporate associates in Atlanta


  • Using organization and planning skills to execute tasks in a timely, purposeful, and orderly fashion


  • Using critical thinking, processes, and collaboration to troubleshoot equipment and machinery


  • Identify and use measure's (leading and lagging) that indicate how well the operating technicians are performing


  • Work with team members to understand critical risks and hazards, controls, and validations










What You Will Need:



Basic Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED

  • A minimum of two (2) years leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment


  • Three (3) years or more of manufacturing experience

  • Willing and able to work twelve (12) hour shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays


  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook & Excel and the ability to learn other software applications

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associates degree or higher
