We control 489 million tons of reserves of commercial silica, which can be processed to make 197 million tons of finished products that meet American Petroleum Institute ("API") frac sand specifications, and 79 million tons of reserves of diatomaceous earth, perlite, and clays.


The Company is headquartered in Katy, Texas, and has an office located in Reno, Nevada.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Enters shipping data into computer system.

  • Types information on manifest such as name of shipper, weight, destination, and charges from bills of lading and shipper's declaration.

  • Prepares customs paperwork/export documentation for shipments to Canada & Mexico.

  • Prepares Certificate of Analysis (CofA's) for required customer orders.

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

  • Determines method of shipment.

  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.

  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.

  • Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.

  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.

  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

  • Verifies shipping documents with customer orders.

  • Completes proper shipping documentation.

  • Performs various clerical duties such as distributing mail, distributing paychecks, filing, typical office reports and letters, routing items received to appropriate departments etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Education, Experience, and Skills:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Upon Hire: Mine Safety & Health Administration New Miner Training, HazCom and ISO training.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Listens and gets clarification. Responds well to questions. Writes clearly and informatively. Edits work for spelling and grammar. Varies writing style to meet needs.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Presents numerical data effectively

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  • Follow all statutory, regulatory, and organizational procedures to protect the environment from hazardous waste exposure.

  • Follow all Federal and State Safety Regulations, and company safety policies/procedures; Report potentially unsafe conditions; Aid in correcting unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.
