A Day In The Life Typically Includes:





Georgia-Pacific LLC is looking for a Software Developer to join our team at our Atlanta, GA headquarters. As a Software Developer, you will analyze business systems and identify key requirementsto accurately and efficiently create customized components as well as design, develop and test customized componentsfor business applications. We will look to you to demonstrate a rational andorganized approach to completing project tasks, documentation and status updates and to execute work plans by accepting personalaccountability for project deliverables and developing short-term work schedules and priorities for individual tasks.




Responsibilities:

  • Understands client requirements and how they translate in application features

  • Collaborates with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications

  • Designs creative prototypes according to specifications

  • Writes high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines

  • Performs unit and integration testing before launch

  • Conducts functional and non-functional testing

  • Troubleshoots and debug applications

  • Evaluates existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features

  • Develops technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

  • Designs and develops user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.

  • Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.

  • Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.

  • Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Supports and develops web application developers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.



What You Will Need:



Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor/s Degree or equivalent.

  • At least 5 yearsInformation Technologyexperience


  • At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel, etc.)


  • At least 5 years and strong in asp.net using C# and sql server

  • At least 2 years complex enterprise application development experience

  • At least 2 years javascript, jQuery experience (more than just control basic control validation

  • At least 1 years MVC development experience



What Will Put You Ahead?



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified application developer

  • Experience with Kendo controls a plus
