Language Required:
Advanced education and/or certification in a language-related field - No restrictions, Spanish

The Spanish Senior Language Specialist (SLS) position is a full time job. The SLS works under the direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Managers. The responsibilities of the position include:

1. Interpreting:

The Senior Language Specialist may continue to provide interpretation services to stay abreast of interpreting skills. The percentage of time dedicated to interpretation will be determined by business needs.

2. Providing Interpretation Feedback:

The SLS is responsible for developing the interpretation quality of a team of Interpreters. In that capacity, the position entails service observations/quality monitoring (for OPI and VRI) and one-on-one coaching for. The SLS will also respond to interpretation-related questions initiated by the interpreters.

3. Supporting the Quality Assurance/Service Observation Program:

Provide data/articles to the Quality Assurance Managers for interpreter publications

Participate in New Hire customized training

Participate in professional development, including calibration meetings with other SLSs and the Quality Assurance Managers

Host Office Hours

Determine the needs of the team and improve the quality of the team

Participate in client calibration sessions

Participate in work-at-home audit assignments

Participate in industry-standard observations

Research and resolve VOCs and Support Requests

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional language proficiency in both working languages
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience with LanguageLine Solutions as L4 or L5
  • Satisfactory attendance
  • Meeting Expectations ratings in both Customer Service Skills and Interpretation Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the interpretation field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork approach
  • Flexibility with schedule: candidates will be expected to work within the schedule of their team members and adjust to the needs of the business.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Suite
  • Multitasking, organizational and analytical skills

Desired Skills

  • Advanced education and/or certification in a language-related field
  • Coaching, training, and presentation skills (provide details in resume)
  • Supervisorial experience (provide details in resume)
