As the Technical Systems Specialist in PGIM Investments, you will develop and define and design solutions for PGIM Investments IT projects. You will focus on delivering best-in-class solutions, understanding how to integrate disjointed systems, demonstrating diverse technologies, and be ready to adapt changing design frameworks.





Do you have technical expertise in multiple technology areas the ability to quickly learn core business functions? Then this is the role for you. You will participate as technical authority in design and development of business applications and support the teams throughout the software development process. You will also need to understand the internal as well as external services integration and data footprint.





Responsibilities Include:





  • Designing and developing effective application solutions which can include new or modified technologies, reusing of existing services, integrating with other Prudential applications or purchasing solutions, or a combination of the available alternatives

  • Consistently delivering on-time quality work in accordance with agreed upon plans

  • You will act as an authority technical resource to project team in all phases of the SDLC

  • Working with multi-functional teams of business and technology partners to fully comprehend documented business requirements and identifying application solutions to meet the business needs that are consistent with the defined architectural technology stack

  • Defining and implementing proof-of-concepts for proving new technologies, frameworks, and architecture patterns

  • Reviewing internal team and vendor partner work for accuracy and quality

  • Delivering accurate and substantiated design effort estimates for assigned projects



Does this sound like you? Our successful candidate has:





  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in software development

  • 3-5 years hands on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including C# and ASP.NET. Experience with Java and WebSphere a plus

  • Strong web development skills including HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery) and XML/XSL, JSON

  • Strong database design and development skills using Microsoft SQL Server

  • Experience in developing n-tier applications for internal and external audiences

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work equally well independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to handle various tasks at a time while meeting all project commitments

  • Ability to demonstrate an ability to learn quickly and adapt to change quickly and easily

  • Flexibility to succeed whether assigned large project initiatives or routine maintenance and support tasks

  • Experience with financial services applications preferred

  • Detailed knowledge of the technology stack that supports Prudential's Mutual Funds platforms

  • Strong competency in developing all SDLC design phase artifacts

  • Knowledge of mutual funds business a plus
