MemorialCare's Analytics team plays a critical role in delivering accurate, insightful analysis to drive decision-making throughout MemorialCare. Team members work directly with end users to gain a better understanding of their business requirements, gather project document requirements, and translate them into detailed specifications for reports and applications. They understand how analytics and measurements enable exceptional client service and high performing teams.

The Sr. Analytics Solution Analyst coordinates multiple aspects of the design, implementation, and maintenance of data and analytics systems throughout MemorialCare. They provide project management support for data and analytics projects and coordinate projects with Information Services and business units to effectively use information technology solutions to improve business operations. Sr. Analytics Solution Analyst apply in-depth knowledge of business and clinical processes, applications, and associated data to ensure effective implementation of data insights that lead to improved decisions and business value. Working with key stakeholders, they use data management concepts and processes to ensure that critical data is fit for its intended purpose. These critical data are required to quantify the impact of department goals on business or clinical outcomes, service, and value.

Essential Job Outcomes
  • Consults with end users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems, reports and infrastructure development. Leads and participates in the development of user requirements and technical specification.
  • Makes recommendations of appropriate MemorialCare tools to be applied, based on understanding of MemorialCare's information architecture, project business requirements, and where new tools/solutions fit alongside or as a replacement for existing tools/solutions.
  • Coordinates with business and technical data stewards to document metadata for associated projects, including data definitions, data flows, data quality metrics and business rules.
  • Assists information users in understanding relationships between data, processes, and outcomes of the services they provide to identify areas of potential improvement to support organizational goals.
  • Develops, maintains, and demonstrates in-depth business knowledge in assigned areas, and expertise in contemporary use of automation to improve business performance.
  • Identifies and resolves complex problems and issues associated with enterprise wide applications to ensure high levels of application availability and user satisfaction. Maintains high levels of contact with key management, application managers, and site leadership to ensure communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Stays abreast of application and technological developments in the healthcare environment to propose feasible IS and business initiatives beneficial to MemorialCare operations and business postures vis--vis competitors and the marketplace.
  • Coordinates data and analytics related system analysis, design, and information flow with IS resources. Manages implementation and ensures alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Plans, schedules, conducts and manages assignments, generally involving larger analytical projects. Leads projects by setting direction, coordinating activities across different organizational functions, evaluating progress towards objectives, and taking corrective actions when deviations stray from plans as necessary.
  • Conducts research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products.
  • Uses strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to drives precise project execution and facilitate project collaboration.
  • Evaluate project progress and results, providing solutions and process improvement recommendations for workflows, systems or reports to enhance job area
Experience
  • Requires 5 years' of healthcare applications experience, and with applications and/or tools in assigned areas
  • Proven analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven verbal and written communication aptitudes, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key IT applications used in Healthcare. Experience with Epic or Lawson preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of or experience in healthcare workflows and operations as well as relational database principles, including basic SQL
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data movement and organization technologies including ETL and data governance tools
  • Proven knowledge of data/analytics development lifecycle including data acquisition, data storage, ETL, data visualization, and data delivery
  • Experienced developing or project managing moderate to complex data and analytics projects
  • Experienced using or developing data visualization solutions with common industry tools such as Qlik or Tableau
  • Proven ability to effectively translate and present technology and analytic solutions in business terms

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
