We are seeking aBrand Manager - Innovationsupporting ourDixie CupBusiness based in Atlanta, GA.The Brand Manager for Innovation is a knowledgeable leader that is results oriented and an adept problem solver. In this position, you will play a fundamental role leading the innovation pipeline, experimentation, and commercialization for both branded and private branded businesses, focused on the maximization of long-term value.You will proactively collaborate across the key capabilities of the business to align resource priorities with the brand and category vision.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Applying critical thinking in leading the overall innovation pipeline for both branded and private branded cup offerings to deliver against long term vision objectives.
  • Managing experimentation (18-36 month) and commercialization (12-18 month) of key innovation concepts and initiatives.
  • Applying economic thinking to probability and risk adjust value of potential innovation concepts to prioritize resource utilization appropriately.
  • Driving origination of New to Georgia-Pacific and New to World concepts (e.g., product, service, internal/external process, capability, etc.) and lead commercial experimentation with support from business team/capability partners.
  • Identifying key metrics/objectives based on business hypotheses, monitor results, and communicate lessons learned to broader team to inform next steps.
  • Partnering closely with key cross-functional team members (including sales, operations, strategic sourcing, consumer knowledge, legal and finance teams) to develop holistic business case for innovation initiatives.
  • Developing briefs for product and packaging design and in-market test support tactics.
  • Monitoring and communicating competitor and market activities to the broader team to proactively drive discussion on implications to Georgia-Pacifics business strategy and innovation pipeline priorities (e.g., quarterly/annual reports, assets, capabilities, observed commercial strategy, etc.).
  • Applying excellent written & oral communication in developing content and messaging for customer innovation events (e.g., Customer Innovation Summits; Joint Business Planning, Investor Reviews).
  • Advancing the Market Based Management culture.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years ofbusiness, marketing or product management experience is required
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and teams
  • New product development experience (i.e. line extensions, new categories, etc.)

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA degree highly preferred
  • Previous experience working with IRI and/or Nielsen syndicated databases
  • Understanding of marketing research processes and methods
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit

  • Thorough understanding of end-to-end commercialization, from ideation to go-to-market
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and managing expenditures
  • Proven ability to be comfortable with ambiguity and to be flexible with change
