Position Summary

Business transformations require a critical evaluation and evolution of business processes. As F5 continues its transformation journey, we are in search of a Business Process Manager to transform and optimize our processes to scale and harmonize with our company strategy. A Process Manager ensures the delivery of business outcomes through a structured approach to problem solving, leveraging lean techniques, and data analyses. This role is accountable for a broad scope of processes partnering closely with our Technology Services (TS) function. This role also brings outstanding skills in leadership, analysis, critical thinking, conflict management, and risk management.

You will be helping to lead the establishment of Business Process Management (BPM), you will be responsible for the oversight of the process backlog and delivery of multiple process improvement projects. You will work across the organization to ensure upstream and downstream impacts are identified, communicated, and aligned. You will provide updates to partners and leaders as necessary, and you will lead all aspects of successful delivery through implementation.

This role is part of the Corporate PMO function and will interface closely with the M&A Value Creation Program (VCP) during acquisition integration efforts, the Strategic Program management function, and the Organizational Change Management function. Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and complete value stream mapping in conjunction with TS team
  • Design, build and maintain an overall execution plan and roadmap to support value streams and related process optimization
  • Develop and analyze business processes and workflows
  • Identify improvement, optimization, automation, and new process opportunities and manage the associated change
  • Partner with training teams to educate business users responsible for managing and operating business processes as well as those impacted by any process changes
  • In conjunction with the VCP Change Management team, develop company-wide and targeted communications as the need arises to implement process changes
  • Provide operational project management coordinating across vendors, process analysts, and virtual business teams to ensure the process analysis is performed in a holistic manner across multiple teams or business functions;
  • Design and deliver Executive-level presentations to support and readout on the strategic process changes
  • Conduct retrospectives on completed projects to support process, policy and tool-set improvements;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • This role can be 100% remote for qualified candidates.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong experience working with Lean six-sigma methodology
  • Extensive experience working in Agile methodology, especially value stream mapping
  • Significant experience working with cross-functional teams and varying team cultures
  • Ability to develop process documentation utilizing various methodologies and tools.
  • Able to apply critical thinking techniques to analyze problems, develop solutions, build resource forecasts or manage risk
  • Ability to communicate effectively across written, verbal and presentation formats to a variety of audiences from project team member to Executive
  • Ability to lead through influence, rather than position to drive forward both the team and program
  • Ability to manage and facilitate team meetings and initiatives to effectively develop plans and achieve goals
  • Desired strong working knowledge of technology companies and the interplay between Human Resources, Marketing, Product Development, Technology Services, Customer Support, Sales and Professional Services;
  • Excellent skill at using MS Visio, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Word.
  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.


  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Desired Lean certification with accompanying experience managing projects to a successful conclusion;
  • Preferred experience with process automation tools such as Mega, iGrafx, etc.
  • Minimum 8+ years experience (6+ years with Masters Degree) managing projects at technology-based companies or within technical domains;
