**Job Description:**



This role is predominately focused on: Business Support/BFO



The Merrill Lynch Wealth Management BFO Team provides direct support to the US Wealth Management and Private Wealth Management units within MLWM. The primary focus of this role is providing insightful, compelling, and actionable reporting and analysis of financial and other KPI results for one or more of USWM's six divisions and to support the ongoing planning and target-setting routines of the business. The individual in this role acts as a trusted and strategic business partner who can influence results in a proactive and efficient manner. The BFO team interacts across all levels of the Wealth Management organization including Division Leadership, Support Partners, and COO as well as the GWIM finance team.



Activities include:



+ Producing monthly reports and analyzing market and division performance (financials and KPIs) against established targets or other points of comparison;

+ Providing analytical support for market-specific initiatives;

+ Creating financial or other analyses in response to business questions or emerging trends and priorities;

+ Developing performance metric methodologies and establishing division and market-level targets for key business initiatives;

+ Actively participating in financial process improvement across the organization, including the automation and standardization of business reports and their underlying processes.

_Responsible for more complex finance activities involving implementation of strategic plans, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting for a business unit or associate area. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources. Can manage partner relationships._



**Required Skills**



+ BS/BA required - Finance/Accounting preferred

+ Advanced Excel, financial modeling, data manipulation

+ Forecast and planning experience

+ Strong relatable business acumen in reporting (P&L, organization hierarchy, business segments)

+ Strong business partnering experience / skills including the ability to interact, communicate and influence equally well within all levels of an organization

+ Analytical Abilities/Financial Acumen/Problem Solving



**Desired Skills**



+ Comfort working with complex Financial Products

+ MBA

+ Management accounting experience

+ EPM/eLedger

+ Familiarity with suite of CFO automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, FactSet, Tableau, Workiva)

+ Project management experience
